I guess I should be planning for that now. I live in dread of when Adobe breaks more of the programs in its creative suite. For the past year, maybe year and a half, this has not been a stable program. I've gone through as much of the online help as I could find to see if anything would help. For a while, an old version was OK, then it seemed to loose compatibility with the libraries or something in the rest of Adobe creative suite. I have uninstalled and reinstalled dozens of times. Usually it freezes during the first or second editing operation. Sometimes it even works out - like when I can use magic wand to select the background, make it transparent, then save the image fast before the program hangs. It was so good that I still launch it every now and then to see is I can get something done before it freezes. I used it a -lot- for cleaning up images, editing images for product reviews, etc. It reminds me of that Guns n' Roses song: "Used To Love Her". It can be difficult to integrate with your business if you do no have someone on the team with the knowledge on how it is properly and effectively used. If its a software you intend on jumping in to use without much practice, you are in for a treat, and its not a tasty one. The products main con is the learning curve. This software integrates quite smoothly with any business as long as you have an expert on hand to use its functions. The Software indeed has a vast lerning curve as it is immensely diversed, but with the basics you casn easily build on it to become a professional. Also, this program allows for its user to perfect the finish of photography and other photo related pieces like artworks. The most impactful features of this software would be, the ability to create graphic content that connects with your end user in the most unique and memorable way. This sofware allows for the creation of marketing material that facilitates for the smooth trasmission of information to you end user. It's amazing and scary at the same time that Photoshop has so many tools to completely manipulate a photo. For example "photoshopping" is its own verb/phrase now! Large media companies and celebrities are setting these trends of overediting. I think editing photos and adding filters has gotten a little out of hand. Even simply making photos brighter is a huge difference! CONS Photoshop is still the best photo editing software I've been able to find! I use it for work (editing a magazine) to personal use (editing photos of my family). With each photo edit, you can learn different tools. For example, one photo you might want to brighten the background and another photo you might want to crop around hair. Some of this takes time and getting better with each use. The software can feel intimidating but like everything else, you get better (and faster) with practice! PROSĪdobe Photoshop has a gazillion useful tools/features if you learn how to use the software. What I love is that you can find tutorials to help you do almost anything to a photo! Other users are happy to share their knowledge and experience. I love it! I've been able to design flyers and ads, edit closed eyes, and resize photos for print.
